Once upon a time, six gay men dreamed of a life together in nature. Basic, Chas, Cherish, Garp, Luna, and Sasha longed for community, a place where they could share the joys of companionship. And they knew exactly where they wanted to be: France.
They set off on a journey, searching for the perfect home in the French countryside. One house was elegant, but too posh. Another was charming, but too rustic. One was peaceful, but too far away. It seemed they would never find a place they all loved.
Just as hope was fading, Garp spotted an ad: twenty hectares of meadows and forests in Dordogne. Deer, boars, owls, and foxes roamed freely. It was perfect. They called it Queercus - a name born from oak trees and pride.
Now, they spend their days gardening, restoring the old stone houses, and welcoming friends. And someday, they’ll build a pond, making their sanctuary even more alive.
